This weekend, from Friday on, was Maker Faire in Berlin. FEZ to be precise. The ground of the old Pionierrepublik. No pioneers there anymore, instead robots, droids and maker creating fascinating hardware projects.
I had only time on Sunday. But even with the short, heavy rain break, it was a wonderful day. Talking with many interesting people. Enjoying their projects. Spreading the information about free software at the FSFE booth..
Last time I visited FEZ was mid-90s of the last century if I remember correctly. Not too long after the reunification of Germany. Us West-Berliners discovering the wild east. It is really nice there. Great facility for kids to avoid boredom.
